Celebration of Life
A tribute to NAFA Region 5's heroes who wait at the Rainbow Bridge
Green Meadows Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Stephanie Rudisill's Sheltie 'Samantha Sunshine', whose favorite words were Squirrel, Bird, and Frisbee. The little height dog known to carry the entire team. Sleep well my pet, you were loved so much.

Lyn-Del's Mission Impossible, CD, AX, AXJ, MAD, GM, SM, JM - 10/17/94 - 04/29/02. Taylor came into my life as a rescue in December of 1995. He was just over a year old, had never walked on a lead, never been in a house, and had never learned to play with people He was terrified of men in general. His favorite pastimes were chasing (and catching!) cars, and throwing a ball for himself to chase.

Chloe loved to play fetch and loved to play flyball. She loved to eat bread and the chili cheese dogs at Sonic. And she was a wonderful photographer's assistant. She was my soul mate. She loved us and we adored her.

Caper and Suede (Dierdre Terry-Dacus) had the distinction of earning their FM titles at the same tournament 1/11/98 only minutes apart. Suede is at the bridge with Caper and the rest of those flyball-lovin’ dogs. Caper gave 110% in everything she did. I will never forget her.

Most people knew Keno as the dog who gave two big ‘woofs’ between the last jump and the box. It seemed as though he was saying, “I’ll get the ball, Mom, and bring it to you for a goodie.” No woofs, no ball, and……no goodie. Still love you, big man.
